Some of the same organizers that successfully helped reduce euthanasia at Placer County Animal Shelter, found homes for over 8,000 homeless shelter animals, donated a medical spay trailer to Placer County, operated the county's first cat adoption facility and launched several animal spay/neuter voucher programs, recently came together once again to advocate for underserved animals.  This time these dedicated individuals are preventing animals from abuse and neglect. 

Since 2007, the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills has been enforcing California's anti-cruelty laws that protect animals from abuse and neglect and serve the public.
